This article provides an overview of different website builder templates and how they can be utilized by admins.
The website builder feature of Tradewing enables admins to create and publish webpages and entire websites without requiring assistance from a technical expert. Designed to be simple and user-friendly, it allows admins to build webpages independently, catering to the specific needs of their association.
The menu button, located at the top left, contains all the web pages you’ve created using the website builder.
Please note that webpages won’t be visible immediately after publishing unless you share their link with the community or link them to one of the navigation tabs. Learn more about the adding web page links to navigation tabs
You can choose from four main templates when creating a webpage.
Blog
The Blog template includes two essential components: the Hero and the Rich Text sections. The Hero section features a prominent banner image at the top of the webpage, designed to grab the viewer's attention and effectively convey the identity of the association. Learn more about Hero Images
On the other hand, the rich text editor is where you can add and format text, insert links and hyperlinks, paste images, and arrange them in a list or bullet points. Learn more about the Rich Text component
This template is ideal for those looking to produce engaging blog posts, informative articles, and compelling newsletters for their association. Below is an illustrative example of how you can effectively utilize this template.
Mixed Content
The Mixed Content template includes both the Hero and Rich Text sections, along with additional features such as headings, card groups, and an image group. You can also remove any components that do not meet your needs, allowing you to customize the web page to align with your objectives.
You can use the mixed template to provide a more detailed introduction to your association for viewers. It works great as a main homepage or to highlight key content like newsletters and membership types, using visually engaging cards for easy navigation.
Note: You can embed other web pages within the cards, so when clicked, viewers will be redirected to another page you’ve created in Tradewing or to a registration site on your website. This makes it easy to guide users to important content or sign-up forms.
Home
The Home template is distinct from the Mixed Content template as it does not include a rich text section. Instead, it focuses primarily on visual elements, incorporating components that enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the webpage. It consists of elements, such as cards, hero images, and image groups organized under various headings.
We recommend utilizing this template as the homepage for your community, which can be conveniently linked in one of the navigation tabs, or as a dedicated page for your association's events.
You can embed a registration ticket link within the cards which allows users to be directed to a page where they can complete their purchase.
You can also link articles or feature your sponsors within the cards and image groups. This can help attract viewers to join events, become members, or even sponsor your association. This is also a great way to engage your audience and encourage participation.
Empty Page
The Empty Page template has no pre-designed structure, giving you the freedom to add and arrange components exactly how you want. This allows for complete customization to suit your specific needs and vision.
This is suitable if you want to mix different contents in one web page.
