Establishing account creation is a crucial step in setting up your association's instance. This option can be located in the General Settings, specifically within the Account Creation tab. The choice of which option best suits your association will largely depend on the level of privacy and exclusivity you desire for your users.

 

Anyone can Create an Account

 

 

When the account creation setting is configured to "Anyone can Create an Account," it means that any individual who visits your association's website has the opportunity to sign up and establish an account as a regular user. This registration allows them to be included in the roster of regular users within your association; however, it is important to note that this does not confer membership status.

 

In Tradewing, regular users and members are treated as distinct categories, each with different access levels across various areas of your community. Furthermore, under this setting, regular users can only engage with your community if the privacy setting is configured to "Public." Below, you will find an illustration of what users will encounter when they visit your Tradewing website with the account creation option set to "Anyone can Create an Account."

 

 

 

Invite Only

 

 

When the account creation setting is set to "Invite Only," this means that the administrator of the association must compile a list of users to whom they can send email invitations for creating a Tradewing account. The email address of each user is crucial, as it acts as a unique identifier within the Tradewing system—no two users can share the same email address. When a user receives an invitation to create an account on Tradewing or accesses your association's Tradewing instance, they will encounter the sign-in page shown below:
