This article outlines the key features of video meeting functionality in Tradewing events.
Room ID
The Room ID is a distinct identifier located in the upper left corner of the screen. This unique string is assigned to each meeting, allowing for easy differentiation between various meeting rooms.
Layout
There are two layouts that can be chosen by each attendee: the Grid Layout, and the Sidebar Layout. Users may choose to switch between these layouts at any time during the meeting, depending on the flow of conversation and the needs of the discussion.
The Grid Layout allows all participants' video feeds to be displayed in a grid format. This is ideal for interactive discussions or brainstorming sessions because it encourages engagement by allowing attendees to see everyone in the meeting at once.
The Sidebar Layout is designed to highlight the participant who is currently speaking. It prominently displays their video feed in the center of the screen, making it especially useful during presentations or discussions where one person is leading the conversation. Smaller thumbnail video feeds of the other participants are shown on the left side of the screen.
Audio and Video Control
The audio and video buttons are located at the bottom of your screen.
- To mute/unmute: Look for the microphone icon on your screen. When your microphone is unmuted, the icon will appear in blue, featuring a microphone symbol. If your microphone is muted, the icon will display a red crossed-out microphone symbol.
- To turn the video on/off: Look for the camera icon beside the microphone icon. When your camera is on, the icon will be a clear camera. If it’s off, it will show a simple crossed-out camera icon.
Share Screen
Sharing your screen allows you to present documents, presentations, or anything on your computer. To share your screen, simply click the "Share" button located at the lower center of your screen. This action will open a prompt, allowing you to select the specific window or screen you wish to display to other participants.
After you share your screen, a dark overlay will appear over the content being displayed to participants. You can then freely navigate within the window you have shared.
To stop sharing your screen, simply click on the three-dot circle button located in the lower right corner of your screen and select the option to Stop Screenshare.
Note: Screen sharing is not supported on mobile devices. Instead of the "Share Screen" button, users will see the "Switch Camera" option.
Virtual Background
You can customize your background by clicking the three-dot circle button located in the lower center of the screen and selecting the "Virtual Background" option.
You have the option to select from a variety of pre-existing virtual backgrounds, or you can upload your own custom background.

This will display the names of all attendees who have joined the session. As the host, you also have the option to mute participants or disable their video feeds if their audio or visual presence is unnecessary for the meeting.
Chat Functionality
Attendees can send messages to each other privately or to the entire group during a meeting. It's useful for sharing links, asking questions without interrupting the speaker, or sharing additional information while someone else is presenting.
Participants can communicate with everyone in the meeting by selecting the Public option for messaging. Moreover, both hosts and attendees can share files, including images, with all participants in the meeting, enhancing collaboration and communication during the session.
Attendees can also send emoticons to each other during the meeting.
To send a private message to another attendee, click the "Private" button, then choose the recipient from the list of participants. After selecting the desired user, you can type your message and send it directly to them.

Manage a Participant
As the host, you can manage participants by determining who is speaking and who has their video camera enabled. Additionally, if any participant is causing disruptions, you have the authority to remove them from the meeting.
End the Meeting
When you have concluded the meeting, simply click the "Leave" button to exit the session.
A confirmation prompt will appear, allowing you to confirm your decision to leave the meeting, in case it was clicked inadvertently.
Note: As the host, leaving the session does not automatically end the meeting for all participants. They can still stay in the meeting after you leave.
