How to Archive Contacts in Tradewing
This article explains how to archive, restore, review, and manage archived contacts, including how archiving affects a user’s membership, profile, and community activity.
Archived Contacts are contacts that have been deactivated and removed from the active contact list. Once a contact is archived, they will appear under the Archived Contacts list and will no longer be visible in the main contact listing.
Archiving a contact does not remove their previous activity from the community. Their posts, comments, and likes will remain visible, but their profile will no longer be accessible from the member site.
To archive a contact, follow these steps:
- From the Admin Site, go to the Contact Listing and locate the user you wish to archive.

2. Click the three-dot button on the contact’s profile card, then select Archive This Account.

Once archived:
-
- The user’s membership will be terminated.
- The user will be removed from the contact listing and exports.
- The user’s profile will no longer be accessible from the member site.
- Their existing posts, comments, and likes will remain on the platform.

3. After confirming the action, the user’s profile will appear in the Archived Contacts list.

4. To unarchive a user, click Restore Profile. This will return the user to the contact listing and make their profile accessible again on the member site. Restoring the profile will not restore their membership.

5. You can view the Archive Logs to see which admins performed archive or restore actions.

6.You can also download the archived contacts as a CSV file for review or record-keeping.

7. To archive multiple contacts at once, use the Bulk Archive button in the Contact Listing. Similar to the bulk invite functionality, you can select multiple users and archive them simultaneously.
